[5:27] <ukscone> acfrazier: sorry ended up taking a nap after dinner then had to do some stuff -- took a quick look at syrige -- think i know what the problem is -- looks like it needs some changes to the make file and some program names -- i'll take a proper look tomorrow
[5:27] <acfrazier> alrighty
[5:28] <acfrazier> ukscone, for what it's worth, myself and the iOS community were interested in using an RPi to tethered boot our jailbroken devices
[5:28] <acfrazier> since it's portable enough to do so
[5:28] <acfrazier> we aren't sure if Linux can properly run the limera1n exploit however, a nature of Linux's usb libs itself
[5:29] <acfrazier> perhaps I should try compiling it on x86 linux first
[5:41] <ukscone> yup -- the usb libs might be problomatic although i think some ppl have been working on them recently (or some usb libs anyway) because of the ubertooth one which needs them
[5:51] * ReggieUK (ReggieUK@5aca56ad.bb.sky.com) Quit ()
[6:06] <acfrazier> well, it runs on x86 linux
[6:06] <acfrazier> so, there's hope

[17:26] <ukscone> oh gawd i've been up 6 hours already
[17:26] <ukscone> and the build STILL hasn't finished
[17:26] <IT_Sean> get some sleeep?
[17:26] <ukscone> can't
[17:26] <ukscone> got too many other things todo
[17:27] <DaQatz> What are you building?
[17:27] <ukscone> off to the store in a bit for some cheese ends as i think i'll ake macaroni and cheese tonight for dinner
[17:27] <DaQatz> Hmm
[17:27] <ukscone> DaQatz: openwrt
[17:27] <DaQatz> Love cheese ends for that
[17:27] <DaQatz> The mixed cheese ends <3
[17:27] <ukscone> DaQatz: yeah get 3 or 4 types of cheese
[17:27] <DaQatz> ukscone, Ahh yes openwrt can take time
[17:27] <ukscone> don't forget the bacon either
[17:27] <IT_Sean> NO BACON!
[17:27] <IT_Sean> what is it with people putting bacon on everything?
[17:28] <IT_Sean> many types of cheeses, yes. But, bacon!?
[17:28] <ukscone> IT_Sean: ypou have to have bacon on mac and cheese otherwise you might as well buy the box stuff
[17:28] <ukscone> IT_Sean: i have been putting bacon on macaroni and cheese for 40 years i ain't stopping now
[17:28] <DaQatz> Lol
[17:29] <DaQatz> Although bacon on Mac and cheese would taste good. I don't normally do that, homemade doesn't need it.
[17:29] <ukscone> made some short crust pastry earlier, going to make a couple of pies too
[17:30] <ukscone> DaQatz: i make a nice roux sauce and turn that into a cheese sauce then pour it on macaroni and a few frozen peas then cover with cheese slices, breadcrumbs and strips of bacon in a nice lattice pattern
[17:31] <ukscone> the fat from the bacon and cheese slices crisps up the breadcrumbs and makes a nice crust
[17:31] <DaQatz> ukscone, sometimes I will substitute sourcream for roux + milk.
[17:32] <DaQatz> Already thick, and tastes cheesier
[17:32] <IT_Sean> that all sounds delicious. Except for the bacon.
[17:32] <DaQatz> And emulsifies well with the cheeses.
[17:32] * IT_Sean makes delicious M&C without bacon
[17:33] <ukscone> DaQatz: i mostly use half and half ratheer than milk for the roux
[17:33] <DaQatz> That will hold better.
[17:34] <DaQatz> Though scorches easy
[17:34] * IT_Sean lightly topps his w/ breadcrumbs for that crunchy top texture.
[17:34] <DaQatz> Which just means bring it up slow
[17:34] <ukscone> ok the pie shells have been baked blind. time to let them cool while i decide what filling to make
[17:35] <DaQatz> 1 layer chocolate cream 1 layer Peanutbutter cream
[17:35] <DaQatz> >=)
[17:35] <DaQatz> Or Coffee cream
[17:37] <ukscone> don't really like sweet pies unless it's apple, peacan or pumpkin
[17:37] <ukscone> i'm leaning towards chicken pot pie and a cheese and potato (and bacon) pie -- maybe a quiche
[17:37] <DaQatz> Oh
[17:38] <DaQatz> Hmm but all those I bake in crust
[17:38] <ukscone> of course -- afteer you have baked the crust blind otherwise the crust is all soggy and undercooked
[17:39] <ukscone> the crust is the best part of a pie
[17:39] <IT_Sean> indeed
[17:39] <IT_Sean> pie crust FTW
[17:39] <DaQatz> That's the reason I don't bake blind first. Cooked crust absorbs the liquids and sogs
[17:39] <IT_Sean> although, imo... cake > pie
[17:41] <ukscone> well baking blind does depend on the dough. short crust definitely should be -- i think it's the law somewhere -- probably the 23rd amendment
[17:42] <DaQatz> Lol
[17:43] <DaQatz> Pie crusts do vary a lot
[17:43] <DaQatz> And it will depend heavily on your crust yes.
[18:25] * PaulW_cdot (~Paul@142.204.133.81) Quit (Remote host closed the connection)

[20:38] <DaQatz> Yeah there we go. The clock had REALLY drifted
[20:39] <DaQatz> I don't think to check that little servers time that often.
[20:40] <DaQatz> Seems I should
[20:41] <DaQatz> Also a note the time shown is the time the weather stats were taken.
[20:41] <DaQatz> Not current time
[20:42] <DaQatz> Though the UTC offset does seem to have "day" issues that need fixing.
[20:44] <IT_Sean> Can you set it to sync it's clock w/ a network time server (i.e. the innernet) at X interval?
[20:45] <DaQatz> Yep I can
[20:45] <DaQatz> Simple cron job would do it
